Video: Cormac Cullinan Extends Thanks to President Rafael Correa at Rio+20
Cormac Cullinan, author of Wild Law, attended Ecuador’s President Rafael Correa talk at on “The Rights of Nature” as part of Rio+20.
In the following video, Cullinan thanks President Correa for his country’s work in leading the implementation of the rights of nature. He also informs President Correa that, earlier that day, the Rights of Mother Earth Signature Campaign delivered their petition, representing over 600 000 people, to UN Secretary General Ban Ki-Moon:

On June 21 President Rafael Correa addressed a gathering of over 200 people at Rio+20 to discuss Rights of Nature and the concept of Buen Vivir which means living in harmony with nature, with oneself and with others. Buen Vivir is presented as an alternative to the concept of development.
